LATEST UPDATE

The Fylde branch meet in the Church Hall of St Martin & St Hilda Fleetwood Road South Carleton FY6 7NL. Doors open 7.00p.m. Start 7.30 p.m.  The first Wednesday of every month.  Members, friends and visitors welcome.

Our next meeting is about Military Information and your family tree. Mile is going to give us a presentation and he will help us to search for help, similar to the AGM presentation which he gave this year.
Yesterday I was loaned a large file of information regarding the loss of 3 brothers of one family in Radcliffe. Very sad, but this would happen to a number of families.
Everyone is welcome to come and bring with you any of your own memorabilia and medals or anything regarding the Services. Maybe you also have a story to tell.
We meet on Wednesday 6th July and open at 7 p.m. The Church Hall of St Martin and St Hilda at Carleton and there is a good sized car park.
We are also open to receiving any queries, if you would like to send these along to me we can hopefully give an answer, and we will also add this to the meeting queries.

A collection of the local Gazette Memory Lane and Retro pages, along with other cuttings will be  available.  Looking back over 100 years or so of pictures of various events and people, all relating to the whole of the Fylde area.

We welcome members, friends and visitors and there will be help with researching history research.  Bring your family tree information along and we will try to help you where to find further information.  There will be wifi available.

If you would like to post any of your Fylde area family history queries on Facebook please feel free.    If you would like to join the Society we hold boxes of CDs and local history books which are free for members to borrow.  The list is included on the branch resources page of the website.
